Is a 6-week long class worth $399? is that a general range for attending a classroom prep class?

If it can guaranteed you a certain score and you are happy with that score. Sure, why not.

But dont' get it wrong. After a 6-week course, you still need to do practice test and continue to brush up on your test taking skills. Although most people schedule their prep class close around their actual test dates, but the timing sometimes do not work out. Don't throw your money out the window. Keep practicing.
