Japan has been voted has one of the most popular countries for studying abroad students. Along with Australia and China. While Australians like to go to China and Japan, Chinese, Taiwanese, Thais love to go to Japan for study abroad experience.

I think any of the Asia destinations are going to be an unique experience for someone who is coming from the western world. Everything is so different and the way of living is totally different. China has just recently open up to the rest of the world about a decade ago and there is much to see and explore in China. That's one of the reason that China has been voted #1.
