If the purpose of this study is to discourage or give parents an excuse to disallow their children to study abroad, then it's a terrible study. I think it's only fair if they are going to present the findings in this study, then there should be a parallel study run on study abroad students who have increased drinking and their academic performance. My point is, a lifestyle change can affect in a positive and a negative way.
