I would much rather pick engineering over architecture anyday. There are so many architecture graduate and professional out there. It's really making it tough to have a high salary in this profession unless you are top notched.

I agree. Architecture people are suffering right now because companies can't get approval on loans and therefore no projects can start. No projects mean no need for architecture people to design things.
