  • Who can use these services?

Any degree-seeking student currently enrolled for the semester at Emporia State University, who has paid full-time student fees (campus privilege fees), is eligible for basic health services.  Families of students are not eligible to use Student Health Services but can find treatment on a sliding fee scale at the local Public Health Department (Flint Hills Community Health Center) nearby  (See address in the bar on the right).

The Student Health Fee for 2009-2010 is $63.35 per semester for full time students and $9.75 per credit hour for part-time students. Part-time students must pay an additional fee at the time of the first visit each semester to equal that of full-time students.  Those current degree-seeking ESU students who are not taking classes during the summer may pay a $40.00 "summer use" fee. This entitles the student to see a health care provider free of charge all summer. Students needing other services or procedures (i.e., laboratory tests, medications, some medical supplies or pap smears) will be assessed a charge which is customarily much less than the community rate. If you have questions about the cost of a particular service, please call 620-341-5223 for information.

    Confidentiality of Records

Student Health records are kept strictly confidential. No medical information is released without written consent from the student or a court order/subpoena.  Exceptions to this may include emergencies or matters of public health as allowed by law.
