  • Find help with your research or writing projects in the Writing Center. Equipped with state-of-the-art computers, online tutorials, reference materials and style manuals, the Center also offers personal attention, a comfortable spot to collaborate with your peers and a quiet, convenient location where you can work on research projects and assignments. Writing Center Hours when classes are in session 8:00 am to 4:00 pm – Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm – Friday Aquinas Hall, Room 324 As you complete four “W” courses in the Writing Program while enrolled at Albertus, you’re encouraged to mature as a writer and view writing as a means of learning and discovery across all disciplines. Writing Associates (WAs), our carefully selected pool of talented and trained undergraduates, can assist you with every stage of the writing process, including: Prewriting/interpreting the assignment Brainstorming Selecting a topic Planning strategies Generating, clarifying and/or developing ideas Organizing material Documenting sources Discussing elements of syntax and style Revising and rewriting While Writing Associates do not proofread, correct or edit your assignments, they help you critique your work and become a better proofreader, a more competent editor and a more confident writer. You can become a Writing Associate (WA) if you write well and excel academically. Faculty members often nominate promising students or you may apply for a position as a Writing Associate. As a WA, you help others improve their writing while you hone your leadership, teaching and management skills and polish your own writing.
