Now the NYU has decided to give classroom space for students from the village.</div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"> </div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt">John Sexton, The University President of the NYU, has offered to give at least 5,500 square feet to run four kindergarten classes and two administrative offices in the letter written to the President. This gesture will give space to 90 children from the neighboring area who is on the wait list to attend public kindergarten school due to the space crunch. </div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"> </div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"> </div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt">The parents of these children and others had reacted angrily when they had heard that the Department of Education was planning to make room for these kids by moving the program to a different place and they had no specific location in mind. If the department did this, then it would create a second problem instead of finding solutions for the first one.</div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt">The NYU authorities are willing to take up challenges even thought they too suffer from space crunches. They plan to relocate the residential spaces and a blood donation place to find space for planned University projects. Yet, they are willing to make space for four year olds.</div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"> </div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt">The speaker of City Council, Christine C. Quinn, stated that a rapid response task force that included representatives from the City Council and The Education Department had been looking for possible locations for the Kindergarten classes. Therefore, they would visit the space offered by NYU and inspect it.</div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"> </div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt">This is huge co-operation move by the university towards the Greenwich villagers.</div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"> </div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt">Christine C.
