  • Description:
  • The Program in Media Arts and Sciences (MAS) offers the master of science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Students pursuing the PhD degree without a master’s in media arts and sciences are usually admitted first as master’s students; continuation to the doctoral program is then conditional on performance in the master’s program.

  • Deadline: December 15 for the following fall semester

    GREs not required
    Incomplete applications will not be considered. Principal components include statement of objectives (including links to online portfolio if required) and three recommendation letters.
    Application must list up to five, and no less than three, faculty members/research groups with whom you'd like to work; include this information in the "areas of research or interdisciplinary program" field, and list faculty names at the beginning of statement of objective.
    Interviews are by invitation only after application submission.
