  • The Schneider Lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a highly motivated and collaborativeÂPostdoctoral FellowÂto join our team focused on understanding cancer biology and metabolic vulnerabilities in lung cancer. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong molecular biology and genome editing experience who are excited to work at the interface of tumor metabolism and therapeutic resistance.

    • Conduct independent research projects under the guidance of Dr. Jaime Schneider, focusing on cancer biology, tumor metabolism, and therapeutic response.
    • Design and execute experiments using molecular biology techniques, including cloning and CRISPR/Cas9-based genome editing.
    • Analyze and interpret complex datasets, including bulk and spatial metabolomics and other high-throughput platforms.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate experimental findings and drive translational research objectives.
    • Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and present research findings at scientific conferences.
    • Mentor and supervise graduate students and research assistants.
    • Stay current with the latest developments in cancer research and contribute to new project ideas and experimental strategies.
    • Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field.
    • Extensive experience in molecular biology techniques, including cloning and genome editing with CRISPR/Cas9 systems.
    • Strong background in cancer research with a proven track record of publications.
    • Proficient in molecular and cellular biology methods (e.g., cell culture, PCR, Western blotting, microscopy).
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience working with mouse models of cancer is strongly preferred; candidates without prior experience will be considered if willing to learn.
    • Interest in tumor metabolism and a strong desire to gain experience in bulk and spatial metabolomics.
    • Solid bioinformatics skills, including familiarity with tools for analyzing omics datasets and integrating molecular data.
