  • Essential Functions
    The University of Nebraska at Omaha Management Department invites applications for a full-time instructor of Management. We seek a candidate with a strong professional record, previous experience teaching and developing curriculum at the university level, and a commitment to teaching students of diverse backgrounds.

    The person hired for this position will teach undergraduate and graduate level management classes. Growth in enrollment has created departmental needs spanning both the micro and macro disciplines of the field and include courses such as: Management, Organizational Behavior, Collaboration, Ethics, Leadership, Organizational Theory and Strategic Management. The candidate’s preferences and experience will be considered when determining teaching responsibilities. A typical teaching load consists of four sections of management classes per semester. Student mentoring and service on committees at the department, college, and university level are also expected. This position is renewable annually through the 2023-2024 academic year, contingent on satisfactory performance. Subsequent renewals will also be contingent upon sufficient enrollment and available funding. This position will begin in the spring of 2021.

    Duties include teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students; contributing to the diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts of UNO; and providing departmental, university, and professional service.

    Required Qualifications
    Successful candidate will hold a master’s degree in Management or equivalent professional credentials by the time of employment.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Strong preference will be given to candidates who have completed their doctorate.
