  • Statement of the Job:
    The University of Maine Advanced Structures and Composites Center has an immediate need to hire multiple Engineer II-III to support our continued growth in the area of large scale thermoplastic additive manufacturing. The purpose of this position is to develop software to enhance large scale 3D printing capabilities to support large research program requirements. The Engineer II-III will lead the development or adaptation of software to integrate novel 3D printing strategies. This work will support, plan, and conduct assigned and/or original research in a variety of research and development projects encompassing material sciences, manufacturing, and the engineering of composites and structures while working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and graduate and undergraduate students at the Advanced Structures and Composites Center. Typical hiring range for these soft-money funded positions is commensurate with Career Level:

    Engineer II $53,509 - $89,183
    Engineer III $61,635 - $102,560
