    The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Senior Project Manager to serve as a single point of contact for multiple complex sponsored and non-sponsored research projects. This individual will manage multidisciplinary teams led by faculty in the Division of Gynecology and will report to a tenured track faculty member. The project manager senior will supervise regular employees, students, and on-call temporary employees that are assigned or working on their assigned projects or for the faculty.

    The project senior manager will oversee the project lifecycle from concept through closeout, including work plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and status reports. This individual will lead meetings, track and analyze research activities, ensure quality standards, and meet project deliverables. This individual will analyze, compare, and evaluate various courses of action and make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision-making authority are performed independently.

    Responsibilities*
    Project Management

    Manage and track multiple projects that are ongoing or in development with local, national, and international collaborators.
    Assist faculty in developing project objectives and identifying key milestones; lead planning, coordination, and implementation of activities to meet goals and deadlines for high impact projects.
    Serve as a liaison to faculty, leadership, internal and external to OBGYN administrators, staff and third party/vendors in the coordination and implementation of projects. Request and review updates as required to ensure deadlines are met.
    Disseminate information and enhance collaboration through all phases of the project from feasibility assessment through close-out.
    Work with faculty to identify resource needs, availability, and allocation as required to meet project objectives.
    Analyze information to make decisions and recommend courses of action. Propose, review, or approve modifications to project or plan as necessary.
    Develop and maintain relationships with various departmental external constituencies.
    Partner with the Department of Communication to develop communication strategies and campaigns related to specific projects; develop, compose, and edit communication materials; oversee implementation of communication plans; and conductevaluations of communication strategies.
    Monitor project-related budgets and prepare reports.
    Serve on select and/or project-specific committees on behalf of the faculty.
    Coordinate and chair meetings related to specific projects.
    Identify funding opportunities and draft sections of preliminary grant applications.
    Draft and submit regulatory documents.
    Ensure participant retention activities including creation and distribution of quarterly newsletters.
    Financial/Project Management and Reporting

    Budget oversight, reconciliation, and justification.
    Provide information on project funding decisions, status updates and data for creation of annual and ongoing financial monitoring; Prepare and submit progress reports and other deliverables as requested by faculty, institution, or sponsor. Develop and deliver periodic and annual reports to faculty, institution, and funding agencies.
    Track and analyze projects' performance, expenditures, procurement and report any risks, overflows, and deficits; ability to communicate their underlying scientific steps and financials supporting the larger project.
    Analysis and Dissemination

    Work closely with faculty and research team on interpretation and dissemination of data.
    Ensure accurate data entry.
    Oversee and assist with research database creation and maintenance.
    Assist with drafting and preparing manuscripts for submission.
    Supervise team member responsible for manuscript submission for publication, conflict of interest reporting, and open-access compliance.
    Collaborate with faculty and community partners to plan and implement educational programs for results dissemination.
    Conducts research and data analysis; prepares reports; and designs presentations in collaboration with faculty and research / statistical teams.
    Supervision and Team Lead

    Supervise and lead staff & students within the team through recruitment, training, evaluation, and mentorship.
    Hire and supervise team of researcher staff, statisticians, and other analytic team members.
    Coordinate documentation of team meetings.
    Collaborate with faculty regarding strategic plan for the team.
    Supervise team members responsible for scheduling virtual and in-person local, national, and international meetings, as well as calendar management, travel and reimbursement for faculty.
    Maintain regular communication with administration to ensure compliance with department policies and procedures.
    Foster essential relationships with research team members who are not direct reports.
    Required Qualifications*
    Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
    At least 10 years of experience in healthcare.
    At least 5 years working in project management and leading complex projects.
    Experience working in the area of Women's Health.
    Project success in administrative/project management roles.
    Demonstrated experience dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders.
    Experience working in complex organizations.
    Mastery of Microsoft Office applications and project-specific database tools such as REDCap.
