Homework Policy

There will normally be one problem set each week which will be due in the following week. Your final grade for the course will be based entirely on the homework.

After attempting each problem by yourself, we encourage you to discuss the problems with the teaching staff and with each other— this is an excellent way to learn physics! However, you must write up your solutions by yourself. Your solutions should not be a close copy of someone else’s work, or of a “bible” from a previous year. The graders will be instructed to give you a warning the first time they sense that this policy is being violated, and afterward to give only half-credit for such solutions.
