1. Put forward three arguments (with specific examples) for why connectionist architectures cannot serve as the general model of cognition. For each argument, present a counter-argument.

2. Please describe three lines of evidence that suggest humans use image-like mental representations. Present criticisms of each.

3. Describe some of the differences between American and East-Asian cultures studied by Nisbett and colleagues. Include empirical examples.
