This course was originally offered in Course 13 (Department of Ocean Engineering) as 13.400. In 2005, ocean engineering subjects became part of Course 2 (Department of Mechanical Engineering), and this course was renumbered 2.701.

Objective

To introduce the elementary principles of Naval Architecture, to introduce the use of basic computer aided naval architecture tools, and to apply the elementary principles in a series of projects and experimental exercises.
