Using this data, a subset of it, or any other data you wish to gather, evaluate some of the hypotheses discussed in class and in the readings about the causes of democracy. You may wish to focus on a particular country, a region, or a larger group of countries, and on one hypothesis or on several. Come to class prepared to present your findings and to discuss those of your colleagues.
