This course was originally offered in Course 13 (Department of Ocean Engineering) as 13.49. In 2005, ocean engineering subjects became part of Course 2 (Department of Mechanical Engineering), and this course was renumbered 2.154.

Schedule

Two days / week
1.5 hours / session

Grade

Grade is made up of two quizzes (30% each), regular homework (20%), and the term project (20%). Quizzes are open book; there will be no final exam. Weekly homework is to be completed individually. Groups for the term project may be formed, but each student is expected to provide an individually prepared report.
